Accessories
Accessories only work with the right tracking unit GFSx44 and are not included in the standard delivery.
You only have to read this chapter if you need to fix the accessories.
Take care that the FM4100 and FM4200 require DIFFERENT wiring connections.
It might be necessary to configure additional settings in the software in order to use the accessories.
Driver Identification via I-Button Installation for FM4100 only
The accessories must be provided by the same vendor as the tracking unit or it must be guaranteed that exactly the same type ibuttons and readers is used to make it work:
The I-Button Installation is only necessary for vehicles that shall be equipped with a driver identification. I-Button Installation only works with FM41 Box!
Connect and test the following:
PIN | Type | Colour | Description |
11 | GND | Grey | iButton cable |
8 | Data | White | iButton cable |
To complete the installation, the iButton system must be tested via SMS. In order to test your installation, you must attach an iButton chip to the reader and send an SMS-Test to the box
TESTS | LED lights ok | LED lights NOT OK | SMS-TEXT to GSM number | Feedback SMS (compulsory, if no feedback -> error) | SMS Test OK | SMS Test NOT OK |
GPS | - | - | USR PWD readio 78 | IO ID:78 Value:318767235 | Value > 0 When you receive a Value, the iButton Reader works | No feedback or “IO ID:78 Value:0” |
To test the installation, make sure that the ibutton is on the reader.
Driver Identification via I-Button and Buzzer - FM41
Attention! This feature requires also a firmware update of each tracking unit. Contact your dealer for more information.
In case if engine is started without connected Ibutton, in 5 seconds the external Buzzer connected to FM4100 is starting alarming. Alarming stops after Ibutton is connected or/and Vehicle ignition is off. . The digital input 3 must be connected to ignition.
