The initial charging shall be done for at least 6-12 hours, depending on your charging current.

You can use a cigarette light adapter to charge the unit inside a car or truck (with permanent power) or use a proper electronic adapter to charge (make sure that is has at least 500 mA!).

You cannot recharge the device with the USB cable!

1.4         SIM card

The SIM settings are pre-configured already. If you provide us the SIM before delivery, we will add the SIM inside for you. Else you must unscrew the device, open it carefully and insert the SIM card. The SIM must be without SIM lock and active for GPRS and SMS.

1.5         Device Power ON/OFF

C:\Users\swman02\Dropbox\20130505_114657.jpg

We deliver the device with power button switched ON. Of course, this will deplete the device’s battery, but you can start using it. There is a main power switch inside the device to completely switch it off.

If the device switch is OFF, there are NO LEDs.

1.6         LED Status

The status LEDs are hidden inside the device under the plastic cover, but you can see them clearly.

For correct operation the orange GSM led must be ON, the white GPS LED must be flashing.

The red power led will be ON, If the battery voltage is below 3.4 volt,

Once you connect the power supply to the red and blue wire, this LED will turn OFF again (re-charging started).

1.7         Final Device Testing

You should do a proper final device test before using the device.
